Managing Director | Counselling Psychologist | Mental Health Consultant
Dr. Racheal D-K Nuwagaba is a seasoned Counselling Psychologist with two decades of experience in clinical, academic, and community mental health settings in Uganda and the USA. She is the Managing Director of FAJ Counselling and Consultancy and a lecturer in the Department of Mental Health and Community Psychology at Makerere University. She holds a PhD in Counsellor Education and Supervision from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, along with a master’s and bachelor’s degree in psychology from Makerere University. Her work focuses on adolescent and family mental health, addictions, clinical supervision, and therapy outcome monitoring. Dr. Nuwagaba is a qualitative researcher who uses narrative approaches to explore individual and group experiences. She has presented at conferences across Uganda, the USA, and Europe, and continues to publish in her areas of expertise. Through FAJ Counselling and Consultancy, she offers therapy, training, and consultancy services to individuals, families, schools, and organizations. She is also actively involved in community outreach and student mentoring initiatives.
